I don’t know why, but I’ve been losing significant space on my C drive. I haven’t downloaded anything gigantic lately, but I’ve been losing gigabytes daily.
I’ve heard that the most common culprit is system restore files taking up space, but I’ve already tried remedying that by making the max usage system restores take as low as it can go at 6 GB. I’ve also heard that virtual memory is another thing that can take up gigabytes of space, but I’ve tried lowering that as well so it stops taking up space at 7 GB.
But even with all that, I’m still losing tons of space. A few things I’ve noticed is that for whatever reason, sometimes when I put my laptop to sleep and then turn it back on, I’ve lost like 1 or 2 GBs. Also, sometimes at complete random, all that space that has gradually been disappearing will suddenly reappear. One minute I’m low on disk space and then the next I’ve gotten like 30 GBs back. What is going on!?
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
